— A rear-end crash Friday afternoon on Interstate 82 east of Benton City injured two men.

Edward I. Roark, 76, was following too close in a Ford Escape and crashed into a Chevy pickup driven by Robert E. Burrus, 48, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Both vehicles were driving west on the interstate when the crash happened around 1:05 p.m.

Burrus, of Kennewick, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland following the crash, state patrol said. Roark, of Kirkland, was treated for injuries at the scene.

Roark was cited for following too close, state patrol said.
