Three killed when car veers off highway near Ritzville

— Four people are dead following two accidents this morning, one east of Ritzville; the other south of Kettle Falls.

The Spokesman Review reports three people died in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 about 11 miles east of Ritzville, according to the Washington State Patrol. That crash occurred around 6:20 this morning. A single eastbound lane of the highway is closed.

Another person died in a two-vehicle accident on state Highway 395 about two miles south of Kettle Falls around 5:24 a.m., state patrol said. Another person involved in that accident suffered injuries that are not life-threatening.

Traffic on Highway 395 is getting around the accident using the shoulders, state patrol said.
