Softball: Walla Walla sweeps Southridge

Walla Walla’s Ellie Rassbach was 2-for-3 with an RBI double in a 3-2 win over Southridge, and then struck out 13 in a 3-1 win in Game 2 to give the Blue Devils a Mid-Columbia Conference home sweep Tuesday.

Jordan Ziemba homered for Southridge in the opener and had an RBI double to drive in the team’s only run in the nightcap.

Rassbach allowed just one run on four hits, while walking none in her masterpiece.

Jacie McDaniels had a pair of hits in the opener and added a double and a run in the nightcap for Walla Walla.
