By the Herald staffApril 29, 2014

Learn how to bid for government contracts at a free class, "Understanding Government Contracting Solicitations," on May 8.

The Washington Procurement Technical Assistance Center and Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring the class that runs from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Tri-Cities Business & Visitor Center, 7130 W. Grandridge Blvd., Kennewick.

The class will provide information on how the state and federal governments purchase products and services from small businesses. Attendees will learn more about the bidding process and how to respond to complicated government solicitations.

Seating is limited and reservations are required. To register, go to washingtonptac.org/events.
