By the Herald staffApril 28, 2014

Blue Mountain Wildlife's annual Barn Owl Book Camp spring giveaway fundraiser is from 1 to 3 p.m. May 10 at the Richland Community Center, 500 Amon Park Drive.

Festivities include activities for kids, a silent auction and Blue Mountain Wildlife will have live raptors on display. Admission is free.

A drawing is planned at 3 p.m. for a red wagon filled with more than $1,500 worth of merchandise and gift certificates. Tickets are $20 and available at www.bluemountainwildlife.org.

One of the silent auction items up for bid is the opportunity to release a red-tailed hawk back into the wild after it was injured and rehabilitated. For more information, call Laurel at 509-366-5777.
