— A Walla Walla man is in serious condition Sunday after a head-on collision on Old Milton Highway.

Marco J. Espana, 29, was driving a Honda Accord north on the Highway on Saturday afternoon when the car crossed the center line and struck a Ford Explorer, according to Washington State Patrol.

Espana was taken to Providence St. Mary Medical Center.

The Ford Explorer rolled and came to a rest upside down, state patrol said. Three people inside the vehicle, including a 9-year-old girl, were treated and released from St. Mary’s.

Troopers said drugs or alcohol were not involved in the crash. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
