Letter: No brain, no heart, no courage

April 27, 2014

The reason the news media cannot get an answer from the great and powerful Ki-Be School Superintendent Wade Haun is because he is not in charge. Just like in Oz, where no answers came from the wizard, because the little man behind the curtain was pulling the strings.

School board Chairman Tim Cook had to tell KEPR TV that Haun would not be doing an interview, yet Haun is the person who is the head of our schools. Sounds a lot like, "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain." If Haun cannot speak for himself, then how can he speak for the children of Benton City?

Where is Kiona-Benton City High School Principal Wayne Barrett? Which one of the school board members is going to step down so they can be the principal of Ki-Be? I'm sure someone on the school board has a high school diploma or at least went to high school.

If Haun can be a superintendent with no educational experience or certification, then any scarecrow should be qualified to be the principal. The school board will tell them exactly what to do.

Unlike Dorothy, I don't see us waking up and this all being a dream.
