The public can attend a reception Monday for representatives from Peru in Pasco.

The delegation will include the mayor of Cerro de Pasco, the namesake for Pasco, said Pasco Mayor Matt Watkins.

Cerro de Pasco is the capital of the Pasco region and, at 14,200 feet above sea level, is the world's highest city with a population larger than 50,000.

The reception is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Pasco Senior Center, 1315 N. Seventh Ave.
