Othello boys soccer beats wild Wolves

By the Tri-City HeraldApril 24, 2014

The Othello boys soccer team rolled to an easy, if not incident-free, 9-0 win at Wapato on Thursday to remain undefeated in CWAC play.

Officials halted the game with 15 minutes remaining in the contest, fearing that an already rough game would turn even more violent. Wapato finished the game with nine players after drawing two straight red cards.

The first red card was issued after Wolves goalkeeper Brian Gonzalez plowed into a Huskies player trying to recover a ball in the Wapato box just before halftime. The second came in the 50th minute, when a Wolves player knocked a Huskies player unconscious with a punch following Othello’s seventh goal.
