Basin City school gets grant for library update

By the Herald staffApril 24, 2014

Basin City Elementary School has received a $5,000 grant to expand and update its library.

Basin City was one of only two schools in the state to receive the grant from the Laura Bush Foundation for America's Libraries. More than 200 schools across the country received grants.

The foundation aims to provide diverse book and print collections for children.
