Transit board to vote on new manager's contract

The Ben Franklin Transit board is expected to vote on a proposed contract with Dennis Solensky at a special meeting today.

Solensky was executive director of the Erie (Pa.) Metropolitan Transit Authority from 2001-13. He was selected to be Ben Franklin Transit's new general manager at an April 10 meeting.

The position was advertised as paying between $85,000 and $144,000.

The meeting is at 5 p.m. at Ben Franklin Transit's building at 1000 Columbia Park Trail in Richland.
