Kennewick farm plans to go public

Taggares Agriculture, a Kennewick-based company that grows grapes and apples, recently filed with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to raise up to $48 million.

Taggares Agriculture, owned by Pete Taggares, IV, plans to offer 7 million shares in an initial public offering.

The company was founded in 1979 and had sales of about $8 million for the 12 months ended Feb. 28, according to a news release. The company plans to list on the NASDAQ under the symbol TAG.
