Hermiston police make five arrests

Five people were arrested on existing warrants overnight Friday night in Hermiston, police said.

Tyler Stone, 20, was arrested on an active detainer warrant at 5:10 p.m. in the 300 block of East Cherry Avenue, according to a Hermiston Police news release.

Willie McLemore, 46, ran from police after they saw him in a pickup around 7 p.m. near East Ridgeway Avenue and Northeast Seventh Avenue, police said. He was arrested on two warrants after he was found.

Mitchell Thomas, 25, was arrested after a short foot chase around 11:30 p.m. near Northwest Spruce Street and West May Avenue, police said. He had an active detainer warrant and was found with methamphetamine, police said.

Jeova Guzman, 24, and Carol Mendoza, 23, were arrested at 1:45 a.m. Saturday at Stockman’s Steakhouse, 1530 N. First Street, after a short foot chase. Police said both had multiple warrants.
