Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday to honor Doc Hastings

The Benton County Republican Party's annual Lincoln Day Dinner will serve as a tribute to retiring Rep. Doc Hastings.

The Saturday event at the Red Lion Hotel Columbia Center in Kennewick will feature Hastings, a Pasco resident, as keynote speaker.

Attending to honor Hastings will be former Sen. Slade Gorton, former U.S. Rep. Sid Morrison, former Washington Attorney General Ken Eikenberry and 2012 Washington Republican nominee for governor Dino Rossi.

All the Republicans seeking Hastings' seat in the 4th Congressional District have also been invited to attend.

Hastings has announced that he won't seek re-election after 10 terms in office.

The event will begin with a 5 p.m. cocktail hour at the hotel at 1101 N. Columbia Center Blvd. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $65 per person.
