Driver takes off after hitting another car on Pasco highway

April 19, 2014

— A 39-year-old Pasco woman was taken to the hospital Saturday night after her car was hit when another motorist was changing lanes on Highway 395.

The responsible motorist drove away from the scene without offering help to Siphaiphone Vorabouth or waiting for law enforcement.

Vorabouth was traveling north in the left lane of 395 in Pasco when an unknown vehicle in the right lane pulled into her lane, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Her 2011 Toyota Camry was struck, causing injuries to Vorabouth, who was wearing her seat belt. She was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco for treatment.

The state patrol blamed the 8:30 p.m. crash on improper lane travel.

No information is known about the other vehicle or its driver.
