The Tri-Cities Fever snapped a five-game losing streak Saturday, defeating the host Green Bay Blizzard 73-62 in an Indoor Football League game.

Tri-Cities took the lead for good in the final minutes of the first half.

Trailing 35-34, Lillard connected with Tre Young on a 40-yard TD pass with 1:21 to play for a 40-35 lead.

Green Bay quarterback Nathan Wara was then intercepted by Fever defensive back Lionell Singleton, and Tri-Cities closed the half with a 33-yard Brady Beeson field goal as time expired for a 43-35 halftime lead.

Young led the Fever receivers with 80 yards on five catches.

Peoples also returned a kickoff for a touchdown.

Flemming finished the game with 111 yards in total offense — 58 yards rushing on 12 carries, and 53 yards receiving on four catches.

Defensive back Donyae Coleman led Tri-Cities with 13 tackles, while linebacker Brandon Wilson had 11, and Singleton added 10 to go with his pick.

Donte Sawyer paced the Blizzard (0-7) with 10 catches for 104 yards.

The Fever will play at home next Saturday against the Colorado Ice. Kickoff is at 7:05 p.m.
