Softball: Ziemba's slams lead Southridge to sweep

Jordan Ziemba hit two grand slams and drove in nine runs Friday as Southridge cruised to a 12-0 and 14-2 Mid-Columbia Conference sweep over Pasco in Kennewick.

Ziemba hit a solo shot in the fourth inning of the opener, then hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the fifth. Brittany Yocom also hit a grand slam for the Suns, in their four-run first inning.

Hunter Schneitter was 4-for-5 with three runs and a double in the opener as Kamiakin scored five runs in the second inning to rally from an early 3-1 deficit.

In the nightcap, the Bombers belted 19 hits, led by April Utecht, who went 4-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs, and Reilly Bramlett, who had three hits and drove in three runs.
