Tri-City Small Business of the Year nominees named

Seventeen small Tri-City businesses are in the running for the 2014 Mid-Columbia Small Business of the Year awards.

The awards given by local chambers honoring locally-owned businesses in Benton and Franklin counties with fewer than 60 employees who epitomize exceptional customer service, commitment to employees and community relations.

Gold, silver, bronze and micro-business of the year awards will be presented during the awards banquet at 6 p.m. May 1 at the Pasco Red Lion.

Nominees for the 19th annual awards are: Advanced Pediatric Dentistry of Pasco, AEM Consulting of Richland, Allied Automotive of Kennewick, Broadmoor RV SuperStore of Pasco, Cliff Thorn Construction of Pasco, elevate of Richland, Fellas Hair of Kennewick, Frichette Winery of Benton City, Meyers Auto Tech of Kennewick, Moore Mansion of Pasco, Mustang Signs & Graphics of Kennewick, Paw's Natural Pet Emporium of Richland and Kennewick, Porter & Co. of Richland, State Farm agent Scott Smith of Kennewick, Smile-A-Mile Painting of Kennewick, Victoria's Academy of Cosmetology of Kennewick and Washington Physical Therapy of Pasco.

Tickets cost $40 each or $320 for a reserved table of eight.
