Students who are academically talented in math and science are eligible for two-year scholarships worth $20,000 at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.
Central Washington's Sustainability for Our Livelihood, Values, Environment and Resources, or SOLVER, program received more than $600,000 from the National Science Foundation, a release said. The program is aimed at increasing the quality and diversity of students graduating with bachelor's degrees in science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM, fields.
The program is scheduled to run for five years. The application deadline for a scholarship is May and students can apply at www.cwu.edu/solver.
