— Authorities tracked down a Pasco man suspected of leading police on a car chase across the blue bridge earlier this week.

Jose M. Herrera, 29, was arrested Wednesday by U.S. Marshals and regional law enforcement officers at the Airport Motel in Pasco, police said.

He was booked into the Franklin County jail on suspicion of felony eluding.

Herrera managed to escape from authorities following a car chase out of Kennewick early Monday night , police said. He led police across the blue bridge, eventually crashing into a pole at the corner of 27th Avenue and Sylvester Street.

Police used dogs to search for Herrera, who ditched the car and escaped.
