Tennis: Kennewick wins Tri-City Invite title

April 12, 2014 

Kennewick won the team title at the 34th annual Tri-City Invite with 188 points, just ahead of second-place Wenatchee (185) and tournament newcomer Parma, Idaho (184).

Stephanie Buckingham won the girls No. 1 singles title for the Lions, while Mitchell Way won the boys No. 3 singles title. Zoey Garcia picked up the No. 2 girls singls crwon, while Chad McKenzie was fourth in boys No. 1 singles.

Zach Fisher of Richland won the boys No. 1 singles title with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Hanford’s Darko Stankovic. The Bombers duo of Trent Prussing and Callum Pe won at No. 1 doubles.
