Sam DeLeeuw, left, of Utah, laughs Friday as she tries on a necklace made by Pat Taylor, right, of Oregon, during the 11th annual Columbia River Cowboy Gathering and Music Festival at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Kennewick.

The event continues all weekend with music, vendors and entertainment starting at 9 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday.

DeLeeuw is a poet who will perform her original work this weekend.
