Pasco man injured during robbery

Tri-City HeraldApril 9, 2014

— A Pasco man was attacked with a knife early Wednesday morning in Kennewick near the cable bridge when another man demanded his phone.

Domminick J. Pruitt, 25, told police he was near the intersection of Columbia Drive and Gum Street before 5 a.m. while walking home when a vehicle passed him several times before stopping, said a release from the Kennewick Police Department.

A man stepped out of the car and demanded Pruitt's cellphone. When Pruitt refused, the man lunged at him with a knife. Pruitt grabbed the knife and cut his hand while the man took the phone and fled. Pruitt called a relative who took him to Lourdes Medical Center to treat his injury. He was unable to describe his attacker’s vehicle and said the man was either a Hispanic or Asian male about 5-foot-10 and of average build.

Kennewick police continue to investigate.
