The Tri-City Development Council's 11th annual Bridging Partnerships Small Business Symposium is April 16-17 at the TRAC facility in Pasco.

The focus of the business expo is on networking, government contracting and learning how to do business with prime Hanford contractors.

Vendors will be setting up at TRAC on Wednesday afternoon, with a reception scheduled at 5 p.m.

Registration and a continental breakfast is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Thursday, followed by breakout sessions from 8:30 a.m. to noon, covering topics such as working with the Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation and Department of Veterans Affairs and business marketing.

The keynote speaker at lunch is motivational speaker, Harry Paul, known as "The Fish Guy," who will talk about creating a fully engaged workforce, managing with trust and focusing on people, not just numbers.

The exhibit hall will be open from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Event sponsors include many businesses working at Hanford, plus other organizations and businesses.

Cost to attend is $75. For more information, call TRIDEC at 735-1000 or go to and click on "Events."
