Letter: West Richland dogs

April 3, 2014

There have been many times when I have seen dogs just run out in the middle of a busy road in West Richland. Sometimes the dogs almost get hit. People sometimes try to catch them, but the dogs tend to run away before they're caught.

They do have animal control here, which has helped quite a bit. What would help more is having an adequate shelter here. Having one would save more dogs, especially since the other shelters are really full.

This was even brought up in a West Richland City Council meeting. Members voted to try to improve the dog problem in West Richland.
