Letter: Helping our vets

April 2, 2014

On behalf of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 34 from Pasco, I would like to first say, "Thank you," to the Tri-City Herald for covering our Annual St. Patty's Day Silent Auction and Dinner. As auxiliary president, I would also like to thank the following businesses and members who helped make this event so successful:

Go Bowl Atomic Bowl, Columbia Grain & Feed, Baum's Candy, Bob and Donna Trethewey, Griggs Department Store Marine League Jack & Sandy Schoerock Kathleen Hooks, Shonnie Menter, Jim and Sally Reed, Sharon DeFord, Knutzen's Meats, Andy's Coffee Break, Pasco Golf Land, Players Sports Bar, Garibaldi's Les Schwab Tire Center, Seattle Seahawks, The Bunker, Resorts At Wendover, Canyon Lake Golf, Tri-City Country Club, Tri-Cities Fever, Gold's Gym, Back Street Hair Design, Sun Willows Golf, Sharon Winters, Red Lions Hotel Pasco, In Touch Therapeutic Massage, IHOP Restaurant, Rusty Biglin, Bryon Ruelas, Dave Chambers and Sandy Paine.

It is with the support of the Herald, local businesses and our members that we were able to raise more than $2,500. The money will support our veterans and their families' youth programs in the Tri-Cities.
