It took a little while, but the Hanford boys soccer team eventually wore down the Southridge defense, posting a 3-0 Mid-Columbia Conference victory Tuesday in Richland.
Mario Zarate scored off an assist from Will Eldred in the 35th minute, and then added a second goal coming out of halftime in the 50th.
Southridge did a good job early on defending us, but eventually Mario was able to break through, Hanford coach Mike Pardini said. All in all, it was a pretty good game.
Eldred added a goal of his own off an assist by Will Bishop in the 75th minute. Jacob Thiel made three saves in goal for Hanford.
