WSU Tri-Cities has new student president

By The Tri-City HeraldApril 1, 2014

Washington State University Tri-Cities' student vice president will take the reins of the university's student government after winning this week's run-off election.

Rigo Leon and his running mate, freshman student senator Alfredo Ramirez, received 180 votes, or almost 54 percent approval, a release said. About one out of four of the 1,220 eligible students voted in the election.

The winning ticket initially tied with opponents Romeo Cantrell and Madison Rosenbaum in last week's initial election, prompting the runoff.
