Volunteers needed to help build new Badger Mountain trail

Herald staffApril 1, 2014

The Friends of Badger organization seeks volunteers to help build a new trail up Badger Mountain.

The project began March 10. Trailmaster Jim Langdon expects it to be completed sometime at the end of April.

The work is ongoing from 9 a.m. to 4 or 5 p.m. each day except Mondays. Individuals, families and groups are welcome to help anytime throughout the day. There is only a limited amount of work for pre-teens.

To volunteer, email Langdon at trailmaster@friendsofbadger.org or call him at 943-3992.

All tools are provided. Dress for the weather, and take along work gloves, water, lunch and snacks.

Access to the work site is by way of the parking lot of Skyline Trailhead off Dallas Road.
