A child rescued after a car went into a canal near Summer Falls Dam has died, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office.

Two other children who were pulled from the water Sunday afternoon by fishermen are recovering. The child who died, Korey Kolves, 8, of Ephrata, was pulled from the water by emergency responders.

Scott Kolves, 45, who was driving the car, remained missing Monday. Those fishing nearby said all four got out of the vehicle and were in the water after it went into the canal north of Moses Lake.
