Letter: Couple of things

March 31, 2014

I am writing in response to two separate items that appeared in the March 16 Herald.

Faith and Science

Can faith and science coexist?

In my opinion, everyone is entitled to his or her own beliefs. In the grand scheme of things to worry about, does it truly matter which one believes - Faith or Science?

Superficial Culture

It was suggested that society is overly concerned about looks. Physical appearance/beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But obesity is important and if current news is taken to heart, more and more people are grossly overweight. Pay attention to what is put into your body and quantity/quality of physical activity in which you engage. Take care of yourself.

Beauty? Who cares what someone else does, such as a facelift, botox injections, make-up, hair, clothes, etc.? If I choose to wear make-up, color or cut my hair, wear "fashionable" clothing, whose business is it? Some people may be offended by what I do or wear -- so don't look. Anyone with an IQ higher than room temperature knows that aging is not optional. Aging/wrinkles happen and the basic alternative is death.
