A Pasco man was arrested after his damaged 2004 Cadillac was spotted stopped on the grass in Columbia Park in Kennewick at 6:37 a.m. Sunday, according to Kennewick police.

The car apparently was being driven at a high speed before the driver lost control and the car ended up on the park grounds, according to police reports. The car's owner, James Garcia, 24, of Pasco, was not in the car when a passer-by spotted the car in the park east of Edison Street, police said.

Garcia, who had a broken wrist, was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving and hit and run, police said.
