Firefighters put out blaze at Kennewick apartments

March 30, 2014

Kennewick firefighters arrived to find flames coming out the window of a duplex Sunday, but put the fire out before it spread beyond a bedroom. The fire at 1812 W. Fourth Place was reported by a neighbor about 4 p.m., said Fire Capt. Kevin Crowley. No one was home. The Red Cross is helping the resident in the side of the duplex that caught fire. The cause of the fire, which caused an estimated $40,000 in damage, remains under investigation, Crowley said.
