-- The following students were named on the dean's list at Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Ind., for the fall semester.

Richland -- Adriana Ledesma, daughter of Mario and Cheryl Ledesma; and Alexa Pitney, daughter of Martin Pitney and Denise Kirwan-Pitney.

-- The following Whitworth University students have been named to the Whitworth University Laureate Society for Fall semester.

Benton City -- Kayley Risenhoover, Jason Trader

Kennewick -- Josie Camarillo, Daniel Gordon, Brodrick Hirai, Scott Howland, Connor Otheim, Victoria Roberts, Sarah Savino, Jeremy TeGrotenhuis, Bradley Thompson

Pasco -- Taylor Johnson

Richland -- Anneliese Barnes, Madison Belmont, Alec Brockman, Cameron Call, Patrick Hickey, Emily Larsen, Scott Mayfield, Lauren Roberts, Daniel Scheibe, Austin Winkelman.

West Richland -- Taylor Burnight, Shauna Maple, Mary Schmick,

-- Alexandra L. Brown, a senior at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, was named to the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester. Brown is the daughter of Sharon Brown of Kennewick, and attended Kennewick High School.

-- Ryan Houghton of Richland has been awarded a Presidential Scholarship of $3,000 for the 2013-14 academic year at Eastern Washington University. The Presidential Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors with a 3.8-plus cumulative grade-point average, a 1250-plus SAT score or a 28-plus ACT score. He is the son of David and Lorraine Houghton of Richland.
