— The Kiona-Benton City School Board made no decision at Friday evening or Saturday morning meetings, according to Tim Cook, board chairman.

Friday night the board met to consider search firms to help with process of hiring a new superintendent.

The matter will be a topic of the next board meeting, Cook said. The next regularly scheduled board meeting is on April 14, according to the district’s calendar.

Former board member Wade Haun has been filling in as superintendent after former superintendent Rom Castilleja resigned in late January.

The Saturday morning meeting was closed to the public as members met with legal counsel and the topic of the meeting was not disclosed.
