Letter: Musician received poor treatment

March 28, 2014

We recently were fortunate enough to be able to hear a young, local guitarist at a Tri-City restaurant. He was playing wonderful background music, when suddenly he was asked to cut his set short because the owner disliked his soft background music.

I was astonished to hear an adult treat a young aspiring musician with such insensitivity. One would hope, that someone of the owner's age would have learned that diminishing another in this fashion accomplishes nothing and is terribly wrong.
