Regarding John Falkner's letter on March 3, concerning Obama's use of executive orders. Regarding his reference to Jonathan Turley, the liberal professor of law at George Washington University, Turley also stated the following: "The problem the president is doing is that he's not simply posing a danger to the constitutional system; he is becoming the very danger the Constitution was designed to avoid; that is, the concentration of power in any single branch."
He also stated, "The center of gravity is shifting and that makes it unstable. And within that system you have the rise of an uber-presidency. ... There could be no greater danger for individual liberty, and I really think that the framers would be horrified." It's not the use, but the content of his executive orders that worries me.
