Tri-City HeraldMarch 28, 2014

An Idaho man was injured in a crash Friday that shut down part of Highway 260 west of Connell.

The highway was closed for much of the day, but reopened around 3:30 p.m.

Ricky L. Mack ran a stop sign in a semi truck as he approached the highway from Dilling Road, according to the Washington State Patrol. The truck crashed into another semi driving west on the highway.

Mack, 23, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland following the crash, state patrol said. He was in critical condition as of Friday night.

The other driver, Corey B. Cook of Selah, was not hurt.

Mack was cited for failing to stop and the semi he was driving was totaled, state patrol said.
