Kirsten Quigley pitched a no-hitter and Holly Fleshman drove in four runs as Othello beat Southridge 12-0 in five innings in the first game of a nonleague doubleheader in Kennewick.
The win gave Othello coach Rudy Ochoa his 400th victory.
The funny thing is, Ive known Rudy for 25 years, said Suns coach Eric Weisgerber, who presented Ochoa the game ball following the contest. Ive umpired his games, Ive known his family forever and I was quite honored to be there to see that. Some people dont want to be that person, but it was cool to see. It couldnt have happened to a better guy.
The Huskies won the second game 13-4 as Madison Rodriguez got the win.
For the Suns, Jordan Ziemba hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning, and drove in another run with a double in the first.
When you are facing that kind of pitching, that can happen, Weisgerber said of his teams lack of production at the plate. They are a good squad and we are very young in places and that will present itself against state caliber teams.
Southridge lost pitcher Sarah Gilliam in the third inning of the second game with a leg injury. The extent of the injury is not known.

Kennewick 20-9, Columbia (Burbank) 3-10: In a bizarre finish, the Lions split with the Coyotes in a nonleague road doubleheader.
Kennewick scored five times in the top of the seventh in the nightcap to take a 14-10 lead, but it became too dark to continue play so the game was halted and the score reverted to the last completed inning giving Columbia (Burbank) the victory.
Rachel Roberts was 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBIs, two doubles and a triple in the second game for the Coyotes.
