Girl Scout Cookie sales are under way and will continue until April 13.

More than 500,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies have arrived in the Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho region.

Girl Scout cookies are $4 per box. Through product sales, Girl Scouts earn money to participate in troop activities including field trips to earn badges and camps.

To find out where to buy Girl Scout Cookies, go to www.gscookiebiz.com and enter your ZIP code into the "Cookie Locator" box.

Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho also is seeking adult volunteers to work with troops forming in the summer and fall 2014. More than 20 adult volunteers are needed.

Girls in kindergarten through 12th grade can join Girl Scouts in a traditional troop at any point during the year as long as there are five girls and two leaders in the troop.

Contact local representative Mara Sorkin at 737-7549 or msorkin@gsewni.org to learn more about volunteering with Girl Scouts.
