Boys soccer: Hanford shuts out Walla Walla

Hanford 1, Walla Walla 0: Will Eldred’s goal in the 53rd minute was all the scoring Jacob Thiel needed Tuesday to pitch a shutout as the Falcons picked up the road victory.

“It is a tough place to play and a good team,” Hanford coach Mike Pardini said. “Obviously, we are happy with the result.”

Jacob Bogen assisted the goal for the Falcons (2-1 league).

Chiawana 2, Southridge 1 (2 OT): Uriel Arroyo scored in double overtime to give the host Riverhawks a Mid-Columbia Conference victory over the Suns.

Arroyo scored in the 89th minute off an assist by Cezar Leon. Leon scored the first goal of the game in the 17th minute on a penalty kicky.

Luis Solano scored for Southridge in the 45th minute on a free kick.

Kennewick 1, Pasco 0: Ramiro Chavez scored on an assist from Armando Ponce and the Lions picked up a Mid-Columbia Conference road victory over the Bulldogs.

Henry Hernandez made two saves in goal for Kennewick (5-0, 3-0), while Ryan Gibson had five saves for Pasco (3-1, 2-1).

Richland 3, Kamiakin 0: Ali Kamara scored twice and assisted on another to lead the Bombers to a Mid-Columbia Conference shutout of the visiting Braves.

Damian Ruiz made three saves in goal for Richland.

Othello 2, Toppenish 0: Gustavo Roa and Khristian Herrera each scored as the Huskies picked up a nonleague home victory over the Wildcats.

The teams play in the CWAC, but won’t begin league play for another few weeks.

Granger 1, Royal 0 (SO): It took eight rounds before the Spartans eventually prevailed in a shootout to pick up an SCAC road victory.

Mabton 11, Kiona-Benton 1: The Vikings rolled to an SCAC road victory that was briefly delayed by a thunder and lightning storm.

Wahluke 4, Connell 1: Alex Anaya scored twice and the Warriors (2-1 league) picked up an SCAC road victory over the Eagles.
