The former assistant coach for girls wrestling at Pasco High School pleaded innocent Tuesday for allegedly inappropriately touching a student.

Sheridan Anne McDonald, 21, is accused of having a romantic relationship with the teen girl.

McDonald is charged in Franklin County Superior Court with third-degree child molestation, a felony.

McDonald was released from jail on her own recognizance.

She was hired by the Pasco School District as an assistant wrestling coach in November 2013 and was placed on administrative leave a month later, said school district officials.

McDonald went to Kiona-Benton City High School and became Washington’s first four-time girls wrestling state champion in 2011.
