Grand Funk Railroad to perform at Benton Franklin Fair

Grand Funk Railroad will perform in concert Aug. 22 at the Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo in Kennewick. Originating from Flint, Mich., in 1969, this top selling American rock group of the 70s had 19 charted singles, eight Top 40 hits and two No. 1 singles "We're An American Band" and "Locomotion", both selling more than one million each, according to a news release from the fair.

The group has accumulated 13 gold and 10 platinum records with record sales in excess of 25 million copies sold worldwide, the release said.

Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. March 28 at www.bentonfranklinfair.com/, Kennewick Ranch & Home and the fair office.

Reserved seats are $15.
