Kennewick opened up its baseball season with a pair of wins — 5-1 over Coeur d’Alene and 9-6 over Skyview of Vancouver — at Roy Johnson Field on Saturday. Dylan Wilbert led Kennewick’s offense, going 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs in Game 2.

Matt Driver and Mark Driver combined to hold Coeur d’Alene scoreless for six innings before Fabian Green shut things down in the seventh in Game 1.

Jake Anderson struck out five and allowed just one walk in working the first sixth innings of the first game. All three of the Bucks’ runs were unearned.

In the second game, Isaac Benard hit a solo home run in the third inning and Ryan Colson struck out seven and walked two. Again, all of the Pendleton’s run were unearned.
