Letter: Red Cross Month

March 19, 2014

March is National Red Cross Month. The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization committed to preventing and alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies.

Our first local office opened in 1917. Since that time, volunteers in this community have been responding to local disasters, supporting members of the Armed Forces and their families, providing health and safety training, and mobilizing life-saving blood drives.

March is a great time to partner with the Red Cross. Individuals can work together on a preparedness plan, sign up to give blood or make a financial donation.

Red Cross Month is dedicated to everyone who supports our mission. We are grateful for the local support of our valued volunteers and donors. It is through their generosity that we can continue our work in the communities we serve.
