KID receives clean audit report from state office

By The Tri-City HeraldMarch 18, 2014

The Kennewick Irrigation District recently received a clean bill of health from the Washington State Auditor's Office.

KID recently was audited for accountability, integrity and openness in government and financial statements for 2011-12.

The accountability audit found that the district's safeguards were adequate to safeguard public assets and that the district complied with state laws and regulations and its own policies and procedures in providing cash receipts, bidding, work orders and grants, according to the audit report.

The financial statements audit found that the statements did fairly represent KID's financial position.
