Soccer: Chavez scores 4 goals as Kennewick routs Prosser

Ramiro Chavez scored four goals and added an assist, and the Kennewick defense allowed no shots on goal as the host Lions routed Prosser 9-0 on Tuesday night at Lampson Stadium.

Chavez scored four of the Lions’ first five goals — all within the first 16 minutes of the match.

Teammate Danny Uribe added two goals for Kennewick, which is 2-0 on the season and opens Mid-Columbia Conference play at Hanford on Thursday. Prosser keeper Jose Ramirez had 11 saves for the Mustangs.
