The Arc of Tri-Cities plans a March for Respect on Saturday in Richland to show support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and to raise awareness.

The event, at John Dam Plaza in Richland, starts with a rally at noon. Inspirational speakers are scheduled and free hot dogs will be served. The half-mile walk around the plaza starts at 1 p.m.

There's no charge. T-shirts will be available for $15.

Tri-City Herald is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point.
