Track and field: Hanford's Kelly breaks school record in 200

March 15, 2014

Richland Jamboree: Hanford senior Ben Kelly broke the school record in the 200-meter dash and tied the school mark in the 100 on Saturday at Fran Rish Stadium.

Kelly finished the 200 in 22.08 seconds, breaking Aaron Gunn’s mark of 22.2, set in 2003. Kelly tied Gunn’s mark in the 100 with a time of 10.93.

“He didn’t go out for basketball to focus on offseason training,” Falcons coach Darren Crow said. “He did a lot of indoor meets at Washington State and Idaho.”
