COLUMBIA BASIN 11-3, Everett 2-11: The Hawks got a strong offensive effort in Game 1, piling up 11 runs on 16 hits to open an NWAACC doubleheader Saturday in Pasco, but the Trojans fought back to win Game 2.

“We’ve got 14 new kids this year. We’re just trying to get them relaxed, and they looked relaxed and comfortable in Game 1,” CBC coach Rudy Ochoa said. “We’re still trying hard to find the right (chemistry). They’re getting there.”
